<Superfood Saturday> Reishi
What is Reishi?
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), commonly known as Ling Zhi in Chinese, is considered a superfood herbal mushroom known to have miraculous health benefits.
Reishi an adaptogen in the Shakeology that I drink daily to stay healthy. Adaptogens have been traditionally used to help the body adapt and respond to the effects of stress. I love learning about the great health benefits that come from Shakeology and Reishi is just one of many :)
So, what's so good about red reishi?
It is non-toxic and can be taken daily without producing any side effects.
When it is taken regularly, it can restore the body to its natural state, enabling all organs to function normally.
Researchers have identified that water-soluble polysaccharides are the most active element found in Red Reishi that have anti-tumor, immune modulating and blood pressure lowering effects.
Regular consumption of red Reishi can:
~enhance our body's immune system
~ improve blood circulation = improving better health conditions.
~help treat anxiety, hepatitis, bronchitis, insomnia, and asthma.
Who knew superfood mushrooms were so good for you?? If you don't like mushrooms, no worries; you won't taste them in the superfood shake!
